FAQs
THIS IS MY FIRST GAY WEDDING.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT?
HOW SHOULD I REFER TO THE BRIDES?
You should expect to see two people who love each other and have decided to spend their lives together promise to love one another, cherish one another, and spend their lives together. Sound familiar? Aside from having two brides, there isn’t much difference between our wedding and a heterosexual wedding. In fact, the thing that makes this wedding different and unique isn’t there being two brides, but that it is a pagan wedding ceremony.
Kells and Jozlin both prefer she/her pronouns as well as prefer the titles bride and wive.
I HEARD THIS WEDDING IS GOING
TO HAVE PAGAN/CELTIC ELEMENTS.
WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?
Yes, this wedding is a Pagan ceremony. This means that there will be non-traditional rituals. These rituals include hand washing, blessing of the space, handfasting, vows, blessing of the rings, exchanging of rings, and others.
ARE KIDS WELCOME?
Absolutely! Our own children and grandchildren will be present. We will have s'mores and a movie area set up for the kids so they can have fun too. We just ask that you keep an eye on them so they stay safe.
CAN I BRING A DATE?
Yes, just let us know so we can have seating arrangements updated.
WHEN SHOULD I RSVP BY?
Preferably by December 25, 2024
IS THERE A DRESS CODE?
It is semi-formal, dark moody, pagan, fairy forest themed. We are not traditional brides, so there is no particular color we’re requesting guests to not wear. We realize that many of you will be traveling from afar. You are more important to us than new clothes. 🫶
JANUARY…WILL IT BE INSIDE OR OUTSIDE?
Both. Kinda. The ceremony will be outside under a beautiful gazebo covered with safety glass and surrounded by gorgeous views. After the ceremony, you can choose to sit outside or inside for the meal. There will be outdoor heaters set up as needed so no one has to miss out on the fun.
WILL THERE BE ALCOHOL?
We are hosting BYOB, so you are welcome to bring whatever wets your whistle. There will be security on site. Tea, water, and other non-alcoholic drinks will be available.
I FALL UNDER THE ADA CATEGORY, WILL THIS BE ACCESSIBLE?
Absolutely! On top of the gorgeous views and excellent venue, we specifically took our loved ones who may fall into this category into account. There is level paved pathways from the entire venue and connected social areas, multiple bathrooms and a room to use for anyone needing a breather.
WHAT ABOUT FOOD?
We will be serving dinner. Menu to be updated.
